In 2004, just after the death of my father, I felt a sudden pang in my heart. I knew not how it changed into something substantial and I was reduced to being comfortable at home only. I feared gelling with people and moving out of my 2nd floor room was a strict no-no.
Previous dilemma

Some psychiatrists throw you in acute depressing state; and you are made to think out of the box. A man knows how to swim cannot drown easily!

A ready example is fear from darkness. If you are suddenly thrown into a dark room and realize only you can come out of it; you will! If a person who has panic from rats is thrown into a place replete with rats, he will slowly recover from his fear. Most therapies first harbor on your family credentials and whether there is history of similar fears. Once that is analyzed, you are taken through many mental blocks and given a perception of how to break them. For instance, if you fear crowd, you will be imparted that crowd is made up of individuals who are each not very different from you. If they don't fear; why should you?
